Towards Integral Meditation: The Practice of Understanding and Contemplation

  • Wednesday, 5 March 2025 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM
  • Location: Espai Buit
Sold Out Cancelled
Summary
The meditative approach developed by Amigos del Desierto and its founder, Pablo d'Ors, is encapsulated in the concept "integral meditation". At its core, meditation is a practice of physical stillness and mental silence aimed at self-awareness. This purpose is so essential that achieving it requires engaging all dimensions of the human being: body, emotions, mind, and spirit. The term "integral" refers not only to an inclusive attitude that embraces the wisdom of all human traditions, regardless of their origin, but also to the commitment to remain grounded in a primary source of inspiration (in this case, Christianity), and the urgency of including in the meditative work itself, practices of perception (body), disidentification (emotions) and neuronal reprogramming (mind).

The session will include a 30-minute presentation, followed by a meditation practice lasting about 40 minutes and will conclude with a relaxed discussion.
