Love and Death: Remembering impermanence to love deeper and better

  • Friday, 16 May 2025 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM
  • Location: Espai Buit
Summary
"How can we love more and better? Why do we so often forget to appreciate and spend time with the people we love most? Many of us are swept up in a fast-paced, unconscious lifestyle, juggling endless to-do lists. Without noticing, urgency tends to override what truly matters. But there is a Plan B. We can choose to slow down and focus on what really matters to us. We can prioritise and spend more quality time with our loved ones, letting them know how much they mean to us. Few practices are as powerful as remembering death when it comes to loving well. Death is like a wake-up call. It reminds us to live more consciously, with greater appreciation and deeper love. When we remember that we do not have forever, we stop wasting time on meaningless things and begin to focus on what truly matters. We begin to truly appreciate the small, everyday moments we share with our loved ones. We stop focusing on what is missing and begin to cherish what is already here, within our reach. During this 2.5-hour workshop we will explore how the awareness of death can help us open our hearts and express our love."

The workshop features a theoretical presentation alongside several reflective and interpersonal exercises designed to deepen our appreciation for both our loved ones and ourselves.
