Summary
Additionally, the session will explore how Western culture has traditionally prioritised intellectual knowledge over other forms of wisdom. This session will explore key classical authors such as Plato and medieval thinkers including Meister Eckhart, Ramon Llull, among others, culminating with reflections on the work of contemporary thinkers such as Simone Weil.

Amador Vega
Amador Vega is a professor of philosophy at Pompeu Fabra University and the author of books on religious thought and its relationship to art. He has written, among others, on Ramon Llull, Meister Eckhart, Rainer Maria Rilke, and Mark Rothko. His latest book is titled: Tentaciones sobre el vacío. Ensayos de estética y religión (Fragmenta, 2021).
